BACK TO SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE
The first day of school will be here before we know it, and it’s time to start thinking about school supplies! We invite you to support Sycamore Community School students by purchasing new supplies or donating unused school supplies to Operation Give Back. Our goal is to provide over 350 students with a backpack, along with items from their specific school supply lists.
Our School Supply Wish List includes (but is not limited to) the following NEW or UNUSED items:
Please look through your child’s backpack before you put it away for the summer! If there are any unused items from the list above that made their way home at the end of the school year, we would love to add them to our inventory. Maybe you like to start your Back to School shopping early? Please consider buying extras when you find those great deals, and drop them off at an OGB School Supply Collection Site!! Sites include:

Operation Give Back and other local organizations have been collecting donations for this year’s Holiday Store. Operation Give Back’s Holiday Store will be open on:
Friday, December 14, 2018 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM and Saturday December 15, 2018 10:00 AM- 2:00 PM.
In order to support area families and provide much-needed supplies, they are in need of volunteers to help hand out items, greet families, and help with prayer, registration, and clean up. The Holiday Store will be located at:
6245 Creek Road, Blue Ash, Oh 45242.
Volunteers for the Holiday Store (Dec. 14th & 15th) must be in high school or older. Younger children can volunteer with a parent during one of their Family Service Sessions at OGB (10891 Millington Court).
OGB has a vision of making a positive impact in our community by promoting education, personal/spiritual growth and civic unity. Thank you in advance for serving with them.

In addition to, or in lieu of volunteering, Church Members are encouraged to donate school supplies and drop them off at church this Sunday the 29th for delivery on the 6th of August.
Operation Give Back is hosting a School Supply Giveaway on Saturday, August 11, for students who attend Sycamore Schools and Stewart Elementary. With support from countless friends of OGB – area churches, including Montgomery Community Church, local businesses, families and staff from neighboring school districts (including Sycamore, Indian Hill, and Loveland), and many more – we are able to provide hundreds of students with backpacks and school supplies as they prepare for the all-important first day of school!
To make this happen, we need YOU! Please consider volunteering your time to serve and interact with these wonderful children and their families. With adequate staffing, we can ensure that our guests are warmly welcomed, complete their shopping in a timely manner, and take with them the sense of fellowship that is the core of Operation Give Back.
Below are the different serving opportunities. Please be aware of the DATES and TIMES. All events will take place at our OGB home (10891 Millington Court, 45242). We are asking that Table Stockers and Clean Up Crew be 10 years or older, and that Personal Shoppers be 18 years or older. Adults, we ask that you consider serving as a Personal Shopper…these are often difficult spots to fill, yet it is such an important and rewarding role.

This time of year can be difficult for families without funds. Those same families still have children with expectant hearts and hungry tummies on Christmas. Operation Giveback in Blue Ash, helps these folks make their children’s holidays a little brighter with toys, food and clothing. We are thankful that members our our congregation were able to take time out of their busy holiday schedules to serve other families through Operation Giveback’s Holiday Store endeavor.
Join Operation Giveback at the Harper’s Point Kroger and help them CRAM A CRUISER with food items, just in time for Thanksgiving! Symmes Township Police Officers will be on hand to collect donations. Saturday, November 18, 2017, 11 am-3 pm.
You may recall a couple weeks ago, the New Church of Montgomery joined in the efforts of Operation Giveback to give students in the Sycamore school district a chance to enter school with the supplies they needed. Helpers donated goods and aided families in their search to fulfill school supply lists. Here are some pictures from the event! Our church will volunteer in conjunction with Operation Giveback on 8/12/17, to help families in the Sycamore School district shop for free school supplies for the coming year. Donate the gift of your time to this helpful endeavor! Click here for the sign up.
