“Long before he was a leader, I think he had a deeply felt dream of the Beloved Community, a concept he envisioned where people could work and live together, no matter their differences.” -Christine King, MLK’s sister from the book, “Martin Luther King, Jr. A King Family Tribute”
“…the time is always ripe to do right” – Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Memorial Day is a reminder to care for others while they are alive, be an instrument of love and peace in your daily battles, and always work for peace.
Soldiers need not die when there is peace to be made. Even today. Prevent war from happening by working for reasonable solutions and dealing with conflict when it is small.
To remember and celebrate a great peacemaker, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., we choose, CSO’s Classical Root’s version of “Lift Ev’ry Voice and Sing.” Dr. King would have been 90 years old today.
