Our small garden is bearing fruit! We can happily report some new tomatoes on our Peacevine cherry tomato plants and the first two strawberries harvested, from plants kindly donated by our host-church. We will share with you our successes (and failures) as we experience them in the garden. In Swedenborgian correspondence, fruit equates to the good we do. So it seems apropos that the message Rev. Dick Tafel shared yesterday had to do with how we put our faith into practice.
What goodness are we creating on the earth? How are we working with and communicating with others in our community, our city, our world? In the bible, Jesus tells us, “I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last” (John 15:16).
Let us bear fruit on the earth in all our gardens.
