Hopewell Junior School collecting Personal Care Items for Reach Out Lakota

Please bring any personal care items you wish to donate to the vestibule of Hopewell Junior School, by Friday, March 12, 2021, at 2:00 pm. The address is 8200 Cox Road, West Chester, OH 45069. These items are being collected by the HJS PTSO organization as part of their Community Service Fair week and will be given to Reach Out Lakota, a local organization which addresses poverty in the West Chester, OH, area of the Lakota School District.

Examples include: Toilet Paper/Tissues, Toothbrushes/Toothpaste, Bar Soap, Deodorant, Shaving Cream/Razors, Sanitary Pads/Tampons, Infant Wipes, and Lotion. All-purpose cleaners, dish detergent, and paper towels are also accepted and appreciated.

Toys and Donation for @BethanyHouseSvc

Saturday’s Toy Swap was well attended! We are able to share multiple bags of toys and a monetary donation from our bake sale with our designated recipient, Bethany House Services, women and children’s shelter. Be sure to look for announcements for next year’s swap in September!

Accepting donations for #HurricaneHarvey Victims

For the foreseeable future we will be accepting goods and donation that will go to Matthew 25 Ministries‘ efforts in aiding Hurricane Harvey victims. Please bring any of your items to church during the upcoming weeks.

These are the items they are accepting for disaster relief:

• Monetary Donations*: Donate online or mail checks to Matthew 25: Ministries, 11060 Kenwood Road, Cincinnati, OH 45242.
• Non-Perishable Food: PULL TOP canned vegetables, fruits etc.; ready to eat dry goods such as nuts, peanut butter, dried fruits, granola and trail mixes, jerky, ready to eat snacks; bottled water; ready- to-eat meals or MREs etc.
• Personal Care Products: Antibacterial soap, hand sanitizer, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, body wash, deodorant, lotion etc.
• Cleaning supplies: Laundry detergents, general cleaner, sponges, bleach (powdered form is preferred), mops, scrub brushes, buckets, rubber gloves etc.
• Paper products: Toilet paper, paper towels etc.
• Baby and infant supplies: Diapers, wipes, diaper rash ointment, baby wash, baby shampoo, baby lotion etc.
• First-Aid items: Bandages, gauze, pads, first aid tape, antiseptic creams, hydrogen peroxide, alcohol, latex gloves, instant cold packs etc.
