We will be highlighting some of our exhibiting artists from our upcoming “Something Wonderful” Art Show and Sale (9/11/21) over the next few days. We hope you enjoy learning about these artists, and what has brought art into their lives, as well as the media and subject matter on which they’ve chosen to focus.
Joan Amato works mainly in acrylics and has been painting for 50 years, more proficiently since retirement. She is self-taught and enjoys color and experimenting with it. She has taught seniors most recently at Warren County Senior Center (741), and finds that most people are unaware of the talents they possess.
The New Church of Montgomery will be having an art show and sale:

Food made by the Supasirilertkul Family at Thai Terrace Restaurant in Mason, OH
On August 10, 2021, we enlisted the help of our friends at Thai Terrace Restaurant in Mason, Ohio, to provide a delicious meal for half the families being housed by Bethany House Services that night. Owner and cook Gigi and her sister Lak cooked up and donated Thai fried rice w/chicken and chicken pad Thai, with Spring Rolls, adding some bottles of Coke in to boot! Our friends from church provided mandarin oranges, cookies and tableware. Together, a full meal was created. We are so happy when we can partner with our neighbors to help our neighbors.
During the pandemic, it has been easy to see the need all around us. We at the New Church Of Montgomery have been fortunate enough to be able to take some of the opportunities to help that are in our community.
Bethany House Services, for whom we have done our ToySwap, the Something Wonderful art show, and brunches and dinners, continues to have the need of feeding unhoused families in the Cincinnati area.
If you would like to help provide a dinner for this community helper, please contact bethanyhouseservices.org.
Here is the dinner we provided for half of the families housed at a local hotel since shelters cannot adequately provide enough spacing during Covid-19.
Dinner for 48 of our neighbors: Smoked beef sausage, sautéed tri color bell peppers with onions, rice, applesauce, dinner roll, and chocolate chip cookies.

We are so pleased at the turnout for yesterday’s Toy Swap! We raised money for Bethany House Services through the donation of goods, generously provided by our church members, and, we received hundreds of donated toys for kids living in Bethany House family shelters!
Thanks to all who showed up to participate and help at the event. We look forward to seeing you at next year’s event which will take place in early September.
We support the mission of those around the world doing good in the best way they can.
Locally, we support Bethany House Services (which) “empowers homeless and at-risk families with solutions to achieve housing stability and long-term self-sufficiency.”
You can support their mission today by donating, by volunteering or by gathering toys for or Toy Swap to be traded, September 7, 2019.
Playing with toys is hardly laborious, but giving them away sometimes is. Teach your kids the value of charity, as they have fun trading their toys. They will hardly notice that one or more of their toys make their way to another’s house; Bethany House.
Please join us:
Saturday, September 7, for the New Church of Montgomery’s
5th Annual #ToySwap
benefiting Bethany House Services.
10 am – 12 pm
845 Congress Avenue, Glendale, OH.
Bring as many toys as you want to trade and one to donate.
All toys left after the Swap will be donated to children staying at Bethany House shelters.
Most children, after finding out that their toys will go to children who have no home and no toys, will gladly give away at least one toy, if not more at our #ToySwap!
