Toy Swap this Weekend!

The New Church of Montgomery, is putting together a Toy Swap again this year in Glendale, OH; 845 Congress Ave., to benefit the children and mothers that utilize Bethany House Services‘ shelters. Extra toys you bring, and any funds from the bake sale Saturday morning, or donations anyone would like to offer will be collected and distributed to this deserving group. Some of us have visited their Fairmount Ave location and can see the benefit all kinds of assistance could make in the lives of women and children.

Kids are welcome to this event; Saturday, September 10, from 9-12.(or you can come by yourself if you’re looking to get rid of some toys surreptitiously!)

The idea is to bring any amount of toys (gently used, not the ones with the wheels falling off:) that your kids, or your friends’ kids want to trade (plus any extra they’d like to donate) and make a morning of it in Glendale.  There are nearby places to eat (Grand Finale, The Friendly Stop, Meritage, Cock and Bull) and fun places nearby (Highfield Discovery Garden or Sharon Woods) for exploring.

If you are feeling industrious and want to drop toys off the night before, we’ll be open from 5-7 on Friday the 9th for us to sort into general categories (puzzles, things that go, learning games, stuffed animals, etc.) If you can’t make that,  you can bring your toys Saturday morning. You’ll get a ticket for each toy you bring and then “check out” at the end. You can trade a big toy for a small toy or a small toy for a big toy! Think of the possibilities;)

Sound fun? We hope so! Let’s help others; “There’s Hope” for our world if we share our love and our resources.

Hope to see you there.

We are so grateful to the Glendale New Church for the use of their space Friday and Saturday!
